What’s It Worth, Palm Springs: 5th Show Shooting Saturday March 6th (Now at 9:30am)

Inclement weather forced the postponement of the shooting of the fifth show of What’s It Worth, Palm Springs. This was originally scheduled for Saturday 27th February, but will now take place on Saturday 6th March, 2010. Our people have a direct line to the weather guru and he is adamant that there will be no repeat of last weekend’s rain. The show will be shot here at the market.

Shooting is scheduled to commence at 9:30 am N.B. This time has been revised back from the original time of 10:30zm. We will be continuing with the new segment, introduced in the last show, where a local personality will be bringing along some items of interest. And, as usual, we have a very strong lineup of people with interesting and unusual items which will be assessed on air.

Our resident appraiser, "Rampaging" Kyle Husfloen, is in red-hot form – he’s running at 4-zip – and is looking mighty dangerous. He is currently at an undisclosed location in Palm Springs psyching himself up for another blockbuster performance. If you’ve not seen Kyle in action yet, then you owe it to yourself to make it on down and watch him go through his paces. Bulldog Bill, our host, will be there to provide a steady hand and keep Kyle in check – no easy job that. So come on down to the market and see the show in 3D, just like Avatar only it’s free. It promises to be a cracker!

Saturday 6th February, 2010 – Mother Nature: 1 Open-Air Market: NIL

On Saturday 6th February, 2010, despite our impressive grit and determination that the "market must get through", mother nature prevailed on the day and we were forced to abandon the market. However, we will be back bigger and stronger next week which features the shooting of the next "What’s It Worth, Palm Springs" TV Show.

A local personality will appear in subsequent shows in a new spot we’ve added. (Just when you thought, "the only way this could get any better is if they had Singing Cowboys on the show"….. Well, please stand corrected.)

What’s It Worth, Palm Springs: 4th Show Shooting Saturday February 13th

The fourth show of the series that is creating quite a buzz, the word Emmy has been bandied about, will be shot at Saturday’s @ Canyon Plaza South on Saturday, February 13th.

Shooting is scheduled to commence at 10:30 am. It goes without saying that this show, like its predecessors, will be a knockout. In fact, let’s not mince words, it will be a “blinder”. Kyle Husfloen, our resident appraiser, is in devastating form – he has just blown everyone away with the breadth and depth of his knowledge – this guy is the real deal. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, make a note in the diary and come on down and watch Kyle and Bill, our inimitable host, go through their paces. You’d be doing yourself a favor.

Saturday January 23rd – SINGING COWBOYS

Yes, do not adjust your glasses. You read it correctly – This week we have the Singing Cowboys from the Silver Screen Project. These guys are guaranteed to knock your socks off and are playing from 10am until 1pm.

It really is a case of "be there or be square".

Singing Cowboys – pinch me and tell me I’m not dreaming.

October 17th

Last week was another great week at the market. We had the debut of Desert Floral with fabulous fresh flowers, the hot dogs are now back and we welcome back Huggzbears, with their fantastic line of belts and accessories. We also have a new Christmas tree vendor – you can’t be too early with this stuff!

Casa Consignment was very busy. And do check out the excellent prices at the karaoke stand.

See you all Saturday with some more new vendors.

October 10th

Well, "Saturdays" started the new season on the 3rd of October. Everyone was in great spirits, the weather was in our favor and it was great to be back rolling again after that long, HOT summer.

One of our new vendors was Wendy, a fantastic face painter. She’s sure to be a hit with the children, young and maybe not so young, in the coming weeks. Our talented jewellery artists worked hard over summer and had some amazing pieces. They were quite the hit with some pieces starting from $10 – can you believe it? Also thanks to Dan who serenaded us with his electric banjo.

The new "Casa Consignment" had a wonderful response from both buyers and consigners. We had a great selection of furniture and some beautiful crystal at unbelievable prices – that’s a real win-win. Watch this feature grow in popularity. There are some great deals to be had. So don’t be shy now, come on down and don’t be afraid to twist our arms for an even better bargain.

This week we will have some new vendors starting, including fresh flowers. We will also welcome back some of last years vendors, and the hot dogs will be back in town. And we have plenty of parking right at hand – so tell your friends, tell your neighbours! …
Watch out for next weeks report.
